You can connect the speakers to either the upper or lower terminal.

The X Edition are floorstanding speakers with high-quality speaker drivers and a slim, unique design! With their powerful Dayton Audio speakers and a power of 180 watts RMS per speaker, they offer plenty of power even for higher volumes and are a real highlight in any living room or party room! Thanks to the very high-resolution highs, mids and powerful basses, they can be used universally, whether for parties, a stereo system or as TV surround speakers. They have a bi-wiring connection terminal with which you can control the two 6.5 inch woofers (lower connection) and the mid and high-frequency range (upper connection) separately. To do this, you only need to remove the two connection bridges on the terminal (absolutely necessary if you want to connect a multi-channel amplifier or 2 stereo amplifiers!!!)! This enables perfect coordination between the bass and mid-high frequency range.
If you want to operate the speakers normally with a 2-channel stereo amplifier in a 3-way system, it does not matter whether you use the upper or lower connection.
